- In Berlin flash-mob.de members are organizing a flash-mob at 19:00 "auf dem Alex (vor der Weltzeituhr)". We’ve also found a Facebook page for this event. Invite your Berliner friends!
- In Backnang, Towel Day will be celebrated in ’daswohnzimmer’, a well-known bar and lounge. Everyone with a towel get peanuts for free! It starts at 19:42 and 42 seconds. This is not a commercial event. Two hoopy froods have "booked" this bar to celebrate towel day, the owner of the bar makes money with the drinks, of course. There will be "Pangalaktischer Donnergurgler"!
- Also in Berlin, in c-base Raumstation there’s a "space drinc contest" to celebrate Towel Day. ATTENTION: as Tuesday was deemed inconvenient, the celebration was moved by time warp to Friday the 28th at 20:00 [1]. Respond to the notice if you want to mix a drink. The drinks will be judged by appearance, history, use of a towel and taste. The participants will also be the jury and there will be prizes. Suggestions, helping hands and volunteers who want to deliver hitchhiker and towel related presentations are greatly appreciated. Anyone - alien, human and "other" - is welcome to participate!
- (Kommerzheini gestrichen) invites people to bring their towel to any of the fourteen Zweitausendeins stores, where they can write a "Vogon" poem and get a nice gift: a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy poster designed by famous German cartoonists Seyfried & Ziska. Additionally, they can win a DVD of the brilliant 1982 BBC series.
